For those those who doesn’t know much about the p2p applications: P2P is a peer-to-peer file sharing system of sharing files directly between network of users without the interference of a central server.

Out of hundreds and thousands p2p applications out there, according to my analysis and experience, here is the list of best p2p application so far.

1-LimeWire

LimeWire is a peer-to-peer software application client which is developed in Java Platform and provides many features including video, audio, documents, images and software applications to download from the p2p network. It uses Gnutella network to transfer and share files on the network. LimeWire is available in FREE and Pro versions. The free version has some limitations but LimeWire Pro has some unique features including maximum download speed, featured skin and optimized search results.

2-Ares

Ares is a free and open source file sharing program that enables you to share any digital file including images, audio, video, software and documents etc.

3-Shareaza

Shareaza is also a good pear 2 pear file sharing software that supports the Gnutella2, BitTorrent, EDonkey Network, FTP and HTTP network protocols. shareaza is available in more than 20 different languages. It has lot of excellent features and download speeds are also very good

4-eMule

eMule is famous for its fast download speed and is based on eDonkey2000. I recommend you to use eMule for Music, obscure movies, old tv shows and hard to get softwares. eMule is one of the biggest and reliable peer-to-peer (p2p) file sharing application around the world. It is open source and many developers are able to ontribute to this project and making the network more efficient and SPAM free.
