The rumors have swirled for some time now, and now Sony has finally made things official with the release today of PSP Firmware 4.00 update and even an update for the PS3.
While this PSP firmware release is the update that many of us have been waiting for, the biggest feature to be added is the ability to do a Google search direct from the XMB. Other features that many of us have been waiting for, like the ability to add home brew apps or better use of the memory stick (read: virtual memory), did not make the cut. In fact for an integer upgrade very little was actually added. Read more »

Bloggers all around the world displays some facts and stats in terms of subscribers, visitors and hits to show their popularity on their blogs. Twitter Count is another option to show poplarity. It is very much similar to feedburner’s feed count which shows total number of subscribers to your RSS feeds. With Twitter Count you can display number of followers following you to announce your popularity.
You can easily add TwitterCounter to your blog and tell everybody how popular you are. Copy and paste simple code, change the username, insert it in your blog sidebar and you are done. You can choose your favourite counter style from the list.

Most of the people, even some computer geeks thinks that YouTube videos are low quality. I also think that YouTube vides are notorious about their low quality, but even then it is the most popular and most trafficked video streaming site on the planet.
Google OS recently discovered a tip about how to watch higher resolution videos on YouTube and I thought I should share it too. This secret trick is very easy. just append &fmt=18 at the end of youtube video you want to watch and enjoy the high resolution.
Keep in mind that high quality videos need more bandwidth and higher internet speed, so watch high quality only if you have excellent high speed internet connection.
Here is a complete example of the usage:
Lets say you are watching a video on youtube and the URL in your browser’s address bar is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqOcqq_f0bM
To watch high quality video, just append &fmt=18 like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqOcqq_f0bM&fmt=18
You will definitely feel the difference in quality

Apple CEO Steve Jobs introduced the MacBook Air, a computer that is the world’s thinnest notebook, small enough to fit inside an interoffice mailing envelope. It’s starting price is $1,799 and hopefully will be available in the first week of Feb, 2008.
According to Steve Jobs MacBook Air features include 13.3-inch LED-backlit widescreen display that has a 1280×800 pixel resolution. The backlighting saves power and provides “instant on” response from the moment you turn it on. It weighs about 3 pounds, and sports a thickness of 0.16-0.76 inches. It’s 12.8 inches wide and 8.95 inches deep.
Different people have different views about MacBook Air, but I think it will probably sell very poorly because there are very few companies or individuals who spent $1800 just for ultramobile Mac laptop.
Missing features:
- No removable battery
- No RAM upgrade possibilities
I think one shouldn’t sacrifice way too much functionality for slim & sleek design.
