The iPhone is Dead … Long Live the iPhone 3G!

For those of you who are still waiting to take the plunge on getting an iPhone, I have some great news, and some even greater news. First the great news … the iPhone is dead! Why is this great you say? Because in the tradition of Apple, when they kill something off they usually replace it with something even better! Enter the iPhone 3G. This sleek gadget is bound to get mouths drooling and pocket books open! Now for the greater news—it is not going to be &699, or $599, or even $499—no iPhone 3G will be available at a jaw-dropping $199!! (This is such great news it deserves two exclamation points) I know what you are thinking … what’s the catch? The catch is you’ll have to wait until July 11th to get your hand on one. But that isn’t even a big deal because this iPhone will FINALLY have 3G.For those of you who are tech nuts or even those who are tech challenged, the feature set might just entice you to rush out and join the long queues of lines that are bound to start forming any day now!

One of the most surprising details of the new iPhone 3G is the absolutely huge number of countries that will have it available on release day! 22 countries will have this beauty on July 11th with 48 countries following in the next few months.
Oddly though Apple has not included MMS in the iPhone 3G, but they are responding to potential business clients by using a new push service for email that will sync with Microsoft Exchange servers.
You might want to start thinking about where to get that $199 because July 11th is not far away and you don’t want to be the only one on your street left out of Apples next phone revolution.
